The Rest of June
Nearly a month since our last post, and so much to say! Well here's what we've been up to since last time.
I went on a stunningly beautiful hike all the way to the top of Mount Sanitas here in Boulder with my co-workers. I may have been the slowest hiker up the gigantic mountainside, but I was also the proudest when we finally got there:
Jake completed the Kansas half-Ironman over in Lawrence. Dad and I did an excellent job cheering him on.
I took a business trip to New York and Boston, learning all about how Twitter is used for businesses.
While there I got to meet up with Phil after some navigational challenges (apparently there's more than one Applebee's in NYC, who knew!) and join Mendel and Derek for some great Thai food in Boston. Mendel is working on launching his new startup, Smoopa.
Back in Boulder, we attended Caitlin and Cory's beautiful wedding, out in the country on a dirt road. We played Yahtzee and the reception and took copious notes all-around. The entire thing was gorgeous.
Also I switched from PC to Mac (gasp! so far so good...), we spent many days agonizing over the creation of our wedding invitations, we visited my family in Kansas for the July 4th weekend where we got to see Phil again and we all placed last in the annual bocce ball tournament (clearly we need practice!), and my good friend Gus came to visit us in Boulder (but we forgot to take a photo, drat! Yes, I said drat.). In the midst of all this craziness, our poor apartment has grown a bit (er, or a lot) messy (I actually got a blister from vacuuming it so much last night. Maybe we should do that more often?). Oh, and did I mention that I started a job? My official first day was June 1st and it's going great.
And... more again soon!
